16-21 January in Tokyo to meet Japanese and Korean cities who are interested in becoming Intercultural Cities, and for the signing of the Tokyo Declaration on cultural diversity. 24 January in Sheffield, UK to speak to a group of South Yorkshire organisation about interculturalism. 6-10 February in the Lofoten Islands, northern Norway to advise the Nordland Fylkeskommune on retaining/attracting population. 11 February in Drammen, Norway's most improved post-industrial city. 12 February in Volda, western Norway to give speeches at the university. 16 February in London to work with the intercultural arts company Moti Roti. 18 February to speaking at the City of Interculture Conference in Norwich. 20 February speaking to Huddersfield Civic Society on a Vision for Huddersfield. 22/24 February in Rotterdam, Netherlands working on projects for the inner city with Kosmopolis. 13-15 March in Chisinau, Moldova to start a new collaboration with the European Cultural Foundation on the Troika Project. 16-21 March in Donetsk, Ukraine for the next stage of community development training with the Ukrainian culture network. 26/27 March at Università Iuav di Venezia, Italy for 'Divercity: towards the intercultural city?' 14-18 May in Lviv, Ukraine to make an assessment of the city's cultural plan. 24-26 May in Washington DC to speak to the Center for the Study of Social Policy 21-23 June in Venice, Italy to chair a Symposium on Intercultural Urban Planning 28/29 June in Copenhagen, Denmark for a meeting of European city mayors on how to engage with with citizens in intercultural cities.
